I love to walk. Its a day hike to Lake Ann, at the base of Mt. Shuksan in the North Cascades.

These little buddies always make me happy.

Six days backpacking in the Pasayten Wilderness makes me extremely happy.

Moss

Whistle lake is rife with moss, in all shapes, colors and textures. I made up my own names for them. Why not?

This is Skagit River green. It is really this clear and this color. I wonder what this color would taste like.

Spring is peeking out. The scent of cottonwood wafts in with the breeze, as the leaves begin to open. Aahh, yes, long awaited spring.
